Are you licensed and accredited?
Happy Hollow is a State of Wisconsin licensed, inspected, and regulated group daycare facility.
Is your staff trained in early childcare development?
Happy Hollow teachers are required at minimum to successfully complete the State of Wisconsin requirements of two 45-hour early childhood classes. If the teacher is working with infants and toddlers, he/she must also pass an additional 15 hour class. In addition, all full time teachers take an additional 25 hours of continuing education.
Are your teachers trained in first aid, CPR, and AED?
All Happy Hollow employees are trained in first aid, CPR, AED, SIDS, and shaken baby syndrome.
What are your hours of operation?
We operate from 5:30am to 6:00pm, Monday through Friday. Children can be dropped off and picked up anytime during our hours of operation.
What ages does Happy Hollow care for?
We accept children from age 6 weeks to 13 years.
What meals do you provide?
During the public school year, Happy Hollow provides a nutritious breakfast, lunch and three snacks year around. Lunches and snack meet the State of Wisconsin requirements for a balanced meal. During summer, parents provide a packed lunch. Happy Hollow provides all breakfast and snacks.
Do you have safety plans in place in case of emergencies?
We have complete emergency plans and practice fire and tornado drills with the children each and every month.
How diverse is the environment?
Happy Hollow prides itself on the diversity of the Community we serve. Our participants come from a wide variety of multi-cultural and family diverse backgrounds. We integrate diversity into our curriculum by exploring and celebrating cultural differences.
Do you offer transportation?
Transportation is provided by the public school system to and from area public schools. Happy Hollow contracts buses for field trips and planned activities.
Do you have an outdoor playground?
We have a very large, fenced and gated outdoor playground with age appropriate equipment and outdoor toys.
I am expecting. How do I reserve a spot for my new baby?
Call us to inquire about availability for when you expect to need care. Complete a registration form and pay the required one-time family registration fee to reserve a spot.
I do not require full time care. Do you offer less than full time alternatives?
We gladly accommodate part time schedules with some restrictions. Please contact the Center Director for details.
